Since February 19, 2024, China and Brazil have mutually issued visas with a maximum validity of 10 years, allowing multiple entries and a stay not exceeding 90 days per entry for citizens of the other country for purposes of business, tourism, or family visits. When necessary, the visa can be extended, but the total duration of stay within 12 months after the first entry shall not exceed 180 days.
II. Visa Application Process
1. Complete the Online Application Form
Visit the Chinese Visa Application Online System (https://cova.mfa.gov.cn) to fill out the visa application form and print the confirmation page.
2. Prepare Required Documents
A passport valid for at least six months with at least two blank visa pages.
A recent color passport photo (4cm × 5cm, white background).
Round-trip flight itinerary or hotel reservation confirmation.
Proof of financial means (e.g., bank statements, income certificates).
Depending on the type of visa, an invitation letter or employment certificate may be required.
3. Submit the Application
Submit the application to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in Brazil or the Visa Application Center according to the consular district. Fingerprinting and facial image collection are required when submitting the application.
4. Pay the Fees
Visa fees may vary depending on the type of visa and duration of stay.
5. Wait for Approval
The usual processing time is 3-5 working days, which may vary depending on the type of visa and individual circumstances.
6. Collect the Visa
After the visa is approved, applicants need to visit the Visa Application Center or the embassy/consulate to collect their visa.
III. Important Notes
1. Apply in Advance
It is recommended to start the visa application process at least two weeks before the planned travel to ensure sufficient time for processing.
2. Authenticity of Documents
All submitted documents must be genuine and valid. False information may lead to visa rejection.
