Yunxian (云县)

Yunxian (云县) has a long history and is an important transportation and cultural hub in western Yunnan. It was once a key stop on the Tea Horse Road, preserving many ancient road relics and traditional villages. Xigui (昔归)

Xigui Ancient Town (昔归古镇) preserves many traditional cultures of the Tea Horse Road. Visitors can experience the ancient tea-horse trade and traditional handicrafts here.

Lincang (临沧)

Lincang (临沧) is home to multiple ethnic groups, including the Wa, Dai, and Lahu. The ethnic风情here is rich, and visitors can experience unique ethnic songs and dances, as well as traditional customs.

Weather

Yunxian (云县) and Lincang (临沧) have a subtropical monsoon climate, with distinct seasons and a mild climate. The annual average temperature is around 18℃. Winters are warm, and summers are cool, making it suitable for travel throughout the year.

Best Travel Times

  • Spring (March to May): The climate is warm, and flowers are in full bloom. It is the best season for visiting ancient towns and natural landscapes.
