Visa Application Process
1. Online Visa Application Form
Argentine citizens must complete the visa application form through the Chinese Online Visa Application System (https://cova.mfa.gov.cn). After completion, download and print the paper version of the application form and sign the confirmation page.
2. Prepare Application Materials
Prepare the required materials based on the type of visa, including the original passport, photo, invitation letter, itinerary, etc. Specific requirements are as follows:
- Tourist Visa: Round-trip flight itinerary, travel insurance, travel itinerary.
- Business Visa: Business invitation letter, company certificate, bank statement, etc.
- Work Visa: Work permit, employment contract, invitation letter.
- Study Visa: School admission notice, visa application form.
3. Submit Application Materials
Since December 17, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Argentina (中国驻阿根廷大使馆) has canceled online appointments. Applicants can directly bring the application form and relevant materials to the embassy for submission. The visa processing hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
4. Interview (if required)
Some visa types may require an interview. Applicants should bring all original materials to the Consular Section of the embassy for the interview.
5. Collect Visa
The embassy will notify applicants to collect their visas after the review is completed. The normal processing time for visas is 3-5 working days.
II. Visa Types and Validity
- Tourist Visa: Valid for 10 years, multiple entries, with a maximum stay of 90 days per entry.
- Business Visa: Valid for 10 years, multiple entries, with a maximum stay of 90 days per entry.
- Work Visa: Valid based on the employment contract, multiple entries.
- Study Visa: Valid for one year, multiple entries.
III. Visa Fees
- Tourist Visa: USD 150.
- Business Visa: USD 200.
- Work Visa: Varies depending on the specific type.
- Study Visa: CNY 450.
IV. Notes
- Material Preparation: All materials must be genuine and complete; otherwise, it may lead to visa rejection.
- Early Application: It is recommended to submit the application at least one month before the planned travel.
- Latest Policies: Visa policies may change. It is recommended to visit the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina (中国驻阿根廷大使馆) or contact the consular section for the latest information.

No. At Present our online application system only supports applications made in English.

Yes. You can save your online visa application wherever you see the "Save & Exit" icon. To login again and complete your application, you will require your unique "Visa Application Id". This number will have been sent to the email address that you supplied in your application security details.
Throughout the online form we have added "More Info" icons to some questions that might require further guidance.
If you didn't submit your application finally you can do the change. After submitting the application you can't change it.
All date fields in our forms are set up in the following format: dd/mm/yyyy (for example 21/08/2011).

This could be because you did not save your application by selecting the "Save & Exit" option flagged by the following image on the application form or your did not retrieve your application within 7 days of last saving it. If you are sure you saved your application in the last seven days, empty your browser cache(temporary internet files) and try again.
